From “intelligent” materials to the promise of synthetic biology—young design researchers explore the design potential of new technologies. With a keen, critical eye, they draw on current technological innovations and consider them further. For the exhibit, they are developing adaptive space installations and objects that fluctuate between reality and fiction, irritate, amuse, or make observers dream.
