Dr. Christiane Lange has been the new director of Staatsgalerie Stuttgart since January of this year. She was previously at the Hypo-Kulturstiftung in Munich, which she managed very successfully for six years. Lange brings a fresh wind and new perspectives to the Staatsgalerie. Following its partial closure in recent months, the museum now presents its newly hung collection, reflecting the handwriting of its new director for the first time.
We look forward to a guided tour with Dr. Lange – who will share her views on museums as research institutions and places of cultural memory, on blockbuster exhibitions, future plans for the Staatsgalerie, and her fascination with green burl flooring. Afterwards we invite you to join us at the restaurant Le Pastis.
